seeks a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to join our merchandising team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for regularly visiting stores within an assigned territory to ensure the Floral Department follows all balloon-related merchandising programs, provides any necessary training, and assists Floral Department with balloon merchandising as needed.
The VMA will work closely with management to receive direction and report findings on store visits.
Other duties will include helping coordinate and set up store grand openings, re-grand openings, holiday meetings, and other special events and projects.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills Attention to detail General computer knowledge Comfortable working in a retail environment Comfortable interacting with all levels of management Comfortable providing training and direction to colleagues Comfortable with work travel and lots of driving Self-motivated, autonomous, and able to execute on all direction provided.
Minimum 3
years experience merchandising Experience working in retail and with balloons is prefered Floral design and grocery experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
Provides support for the ballooon program in 90-100 grocery stores within the Long Island and South Western Connecticut area to help acheieve program sales goals.
Responsible for visiting stores within the assigned territory to ensure floral department is following all balloon related merchandising programs.
Set up balloon displays in grocery stores and provide support to floral store and field teams, as needed.
Check in with customers and answer questions about Mayflower Distributing Company, Inc.
products, ordering, and balloon merchandising standards.
Provide balloon product and merchandising training as necessary.
Complete store visit report on every visit to report findings.
Assist with merchandising projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the manager.
